What is Echoes of the Moon?

Echoes of the Moon is a free, browser-based lunar-colony builder with a buried sci-fi mystery. You start with a single landing pod and grow a glowing city across a living, curving Moon — keeping colonists housed, powered, and breathing through real setbacks — while decoding a signal that shouldn't exist beneath the regolith.

It plays like a cozy-but-tense colony sim: think Surviving Mars scale with an Into the Breach sense of readable clarity, wrapped around a slow-burn story with a true ending. This guide covers all 41 buildings, 12 technologies, 17 achievements, and the full five-phase campaign.

How do you play?

Mine regolith, build power and habitats, keep your colonists alive, then research your way toward the Signal and the Gateway. The loop in one line: power → people → air → research → mystery.

1. Place a Solar Array for power and a Regolith Miner for raw material.
2. Build an Inflatable Dome so colonists have somewhere to live, then an Oxygen Extractor so they can breathe.
3. Add a Research Lab and start climbing the tech tree — this is how you unlock everything and begin decoding the Signal.
4. Follow the campaign phases out toward the far ridge, and find out what's been waiting.
